In twenty years of activity, Obey has consolidated itself as a reference name in the world of streetwear, a brand whose aesthetic is extremely recognisable from the graphics proposed, often created by the founder himself, Shepard Fairy. Street artist, illustrator and activist, Shepard has inspired generations of artists with his provocative works, while maintaining his unique and unmistakable style over the years. The various influences that have kick-started the graphic designer's creative process include music. Enthusiastic about punk-rock and the Black Flag hardcore, Fairy for this new FW21 season dedicates a collection to one of his greatest myths, Motorhead. After forty years of arrogant riffing, Motorhead saw the sad passing of Sir Lemmy Kilmister in 2015, one of the most charismatic characters hard'n' heavy history has ever had. This loss was particularly felt by the founder of Obey himself, who decided to launch this capsule in their honour. The collection, which includes T-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts, features graphics dedicated to the albums, to Lemmy and to the historic 'Snaggletooth' - the band's emblem designed by Joe Petango in 1977 -, all represented with a 100% Shepard Fairey style. This T-shirt, part of the collection, features a 'Lemmy' print on the chest and an Obey x Motorhead print on the back.
